The view matters, of course — but some of the things that make the biggest difference on a wedding day aren’t always obvious during your first venue tour.

When we photograph a venue, we pay attention to how people move through the space, where the light falls throughout the day, how exposed the ceremony location is to sun and wind, what happens if the weather changes, and how much time is required to travel between getting ready, the ceremony, portraits, cocktail hour, and the reception.

Before choosing your Lake Tahoe wedding venue, we recommend considering:

Where your guests will stay.
If most guests are traveling to Tahoe, proximity to accommodations can make the entire weekend easier.

How much transportation is involved.
Tahoe traffic, mountain roads, parking, and separate ceremony and reception locations can all influence your timeline.
