Taylor and Chris first did a mini session with us in Carson about two years ago. When they reached out again, it felt less like booking a session and more like picking up where we left off.
That continuity is one of our favorite things about family photography. The kids are a little older. The dynamic has shifted in the small ways that a season of life always shifts. And yet the feeling of the family — the way they move together, the way the parents look at their children — stays essentially the same.

What a Relaxed Family Session Actually Looks Like
Taylor and Chris's session began at Carson River Park and moved naturally toward Silver Saddle Ranch as the afternoon light shifted.
There was no posing script. No formal lineup held for longer than it needed to be. Instead, the session unfolded the way good family sessions do — with the family leading, the camera following, and the family walking the trail together. Dad lifting the youngest onto his shoulders. Mom pulling both girls in close while the light came through the trees behind them.
The older daughter had opinions about where to walk and what to do, which is exactly right. The youngest was content to be held and carried, which is also exactly right. Neither of them was asked to be anything other than what they already were.
That ease shows up in the images, as it always does.

“We have done two family shoots with Vild Photography, and both of them have been excellent. We met Rob at the Carson River early morning for both shoots to catch the best light. Rob is extremely friendly and great with our young girls, making everybody feel welcome and excited for the shoot. Our time flew by, but Rob makes use of every minute, even impromptu moments, making sure we get the full value out of the opportunity. I’m sure it is season and capacity dependent, but we had a full online album within 48 hours of our shoot and we could not be happier with the photos. We did a fall and spring shoot, and it is amazing how the photos capture the essence of each season. I could not speak highly enough of the Vild team and would highly recommend them to anybody who needs a professional photographer. We are already planning locations for our next session with them.”
